A hire equipment company created to supply Wellington customers with beautiful event and party hire equipment.
Our primary market is for customers looking for wedding hire. We are located in Wellington and service our local city and surrounding regions including Kapiti, Otaki, Grey Town and Martinborough.

Who we are

Wellington Event Hire is the sister company of NOSH, Wellington's premier catering company.  We do not hire our equipment to the public, instead we supply our products to the customers of NOSH, or other catering and event management businesses.

What we do

We specialise in high quality, beautiful hire equipment. Our main market is weddings, but we also supply equipment to corporates staging special events.

We are not a theming company or a wedding designer, instead we work with these companies, and catering companies to help create amazing events.

We stock two varieties of chairs. Both classic in design. Our White cross-back chair is most popular for weddings. Our black bentwood chair is stunning next to our "naked" tables.

Wedding chairs for hire

Our current stock is limited t 150 of the white cross-back and 12o of the black bentwood.

Our chairs are made from aluminium, having the advantage of being light and durable for the hire equipment business. We can also source timber cross back wedding chairs if required.

100% French linen.

Oversize oatmeal table cloths designed to sit to the floor on our custom large size trestle tables.

Table Hire

Create a special ambiance for your guests to your enjoy with the help of our bespoke timber “tongue and groove” trestle tables. Our tables are stained in a dark mahogany and wrapped in a steel frame.

They will help give a sophisticated but modestly rustic feel to your room. Our tables are 2.4m long and comfortably seat 8 people. The table legs are perfectly positioned as to not  tangle with any of your guests legs. This comfort factor is quite unusual when hiring trestle tables.

Our tables are suited for either a wedding or a corporate event. We have current capacity for table hire for 160 guests.

Bar Leaner Hire

We have commissioned a range of single and double width bar leaners.

The solid timber tops are designed to compliment our bar perfectly

Crockery Hire


Making sure you make big impressions at your event is all about the finer details, like the crockery you use to serve your guests. At Wellington Event Hire, we have those finer service dishes you need to ensure every guest at your wedding or event knows you have gone the extra mile. We offer everything from plate hire to cup hire, and everything in between for your wedding, corporate soiree, or another spectacular gathering.
